Her story is literally A Spiritual Awakening. She goes from starting out enslaved like a computer (hive mind) thru the learning process of becoming human (freeing her mind), questioning things and herself, and eventually breaking out of it.
This stage is when she finds out how lonely it can be once certain truths are discovered and your worldview changes so drastically. When she discovers that ignorance truly was bliss... but it's all once upon a time now. There really is no going back. There's a lot of mixed emotions and acceptance to go thru. Her music and video really have represented and depicted it quite well.
