In 1980 the Soviet Union had a GDP estimated at $1.21 trillion, placing it in the #2 spot just ahead of Japan. This is a serious oversight and makes the rankings way off until 1991 when Russia is included.

Australia has been punching above its weight for a long time. For a country of less than 30 million people to consistently be among the biggest economies in the world is very impressive!
