Welcome to FOBG: Flipside of Board Games, your key to unlock a deeper enjoyment of the board game industry and hobby. My name is Sam Healey, and I’ve had the opportunity to work in a variety of facets within the board game industry, but it all started as a hobby. During my time as a Dice Tower content creator, I learned the benefit of an honest review and how important community is for this industry. But for the past three years, I’ve worked on the other side of the aisle and experienced the business side of board games. I believe this gives me a unique perspective, and it’s within that point of view that the vector for this channel will be found. We’ll have reviews, play-throughs, and unboxings of board games. We’ll also tap into various aspects of the hobby and pop culture from time-to-time, focusing some attention on community-minded activities like live Q&As, live painting tutorials, and interviews with industry professionals. Finally, we’ll delve into the world of the local game store and highlight some of the stores that I’ve visited.
