Rosehill is right, if it ain't broken don't 'fix' it. Assuming OEL can play 18-19 mins a night & Liljegren can take the next step up as a reliable D with an injection of more confidence, this D-corps is better than last season. You need 9 NHL calibre D to get through a season, so they need to sort out 2 more D after Timmins who should be rotated in/out regularly as the 7th guy. I definitely want McCabe extended. Hopefully he wants to stay in TO.

McCabe and Benoit should stay together. You know what you're going to get with these two, an honest effort, along with a few hits. I don't know why the Leafs would NOT elect to extend McCabe.

McCabe Benoit should definitely be the 2nd pairing. Liljegren is a 6-7 dman not a top 4 defenceman.

If TML could trade Liljegren plus Kampf (to make money work) plus whatever it takes to get Rasmus Andersson from CGY we would be set on defense.
Rielly- Tanev, Mcabe -Andersson, Benoit - Larsson.
Ekmann Larsson needs to play less minutes not 2nd pair minutes!
