Antibody Engineering: A Systems Approach to Studying Disease Enabled by Emerging Technologies
Показать описание
In this presentation, Leroy Hood, M.D., Ph.D., President, Institute for Systems Biology presents "A Systems Approach to Studying Disease Enabled by Emerging Technologies."
About this presentation: The complexity of disease (and biology) is staggering. A systems approach to disease offers biologists the opportunity to deconvolute this complexity-as does the emergence of powerful new genomic and proteomic technologies as well as pioneering analytical tools to handle the "big data" tsunami of systems-driven, integrative and cross-disciplinary biology and medicine. I will discuss systems approaches to cancer and neurodegeneration as well as key systems strategies (e.g. family genome sequencing and systems-driven blood diagnostics) and emerging technologies that let us explore new dimensions of patient data space.
