Can you please explain why the function introduce is in the statement as the class ... i mean functions are meant to be be out ont here own and declared prototypes

If anything declared private cannot be accesed by other sections of the code why would you declare anything as private? Wouldn´t it be better to declare everything as public? I´m sure there must be a good reason, I just don´t know why haha enlighten me please
