I used that product. It caused a chemical reaction with the flapper that is made from plastic to shrink up a tiny bit and that caused the water level to seep into the bowl making the tank water have to replenish itself often. The product works but the down side is having to replace the flapper too often. **The chlorine tablets were used in the holding tank of the product and not dropped into the porcelain tank.

Those tablets can be highly corrosive. Toilet producers void warranty if any of those were used

As a plumber I feel compelled to educate people to the fact that when you use products like this, it will void warranties on toilets.

If you clean your bowl on a regular/timed basis regardless of whether or not it looks visibly dirty, you won’t need this product.

From what I am seeing, the tablet, likely a Chlorine tablet or something just as problematic for this type of flusher mechanism, is in that mini-tank to bypass the main toilet tank so the chemicals never get into the main tank, at least in any amount that would damage the flusher. Not sure if that works. I would jump at it if I knew for certain that it did.

Of course, this could easily be resolves simply by making the flusher out of a materials not so adversely effected by the chemicals. Or have gaskets that can easily be replaced.

I used to use Chlorine toilet tablets, but can't because to the deterioration they cause to hi-lo flo flushers.

You can skip the stupid contraption and drop the tablets in the tank. Or use half a chlorine tablet if you have a pool.

Vinegar is what i used on stains like that. Took them right off no scrubbing or bs

If you're too tired or can't scrub because of any medical conditions, there's a ton of products that you just apply (in the toilet bowl), wait a few minutes and rinse. No need for that overcomplicated thing.

There's also a gel bead you can stick on the side of the bowl that's less complicated

Me and my mom just buy a pack of bleach tablets and replace it after it’s gone. Keeps it smelling clean and looking clean too.

They already sell tablets for every flush on the toilet and are blue or whites. But I used for the colour and I still clean the toilet every day, just take few minutes!

I dont know about removing existing stains. But its magic for preventing new ones

As a professional cleaner...my opinion is that these kinds of products are usually a total waste of time and can damage various parts of the toilets. It's often better to just give it a good scrubbing.
