In my opinion you were not gentle enough with your skin during recovery. It probably will go quicker if you just leave it alone.

So basically, I just want to spread awareness. There was an incident where a doctor reused needles from a vampire facial on multiple people and those people ended up getting countless diseases. If you’re thinking about getting this procedure, make sure to do extensive research about the doctor and if they are trustworthy or not stay safe.

You are supposed to use a gentle cleanser, no makeup for a week and aquaphor or a very hydrating fragrance free moisturizer and that’s it. The problem is that some places are awful at providing aftercare instructions.

Don’t go in the sun ! Your skin is fresh and wounded you will burn :/ you see the results over time ! I tried this and was happy with my skin texture but also maybe everyone has different experiences

Yeah you exposed your open wound skin to topical creams in an unsteril environment, shocking that bacteria latched on. 😂

I constantly get microneedling treatment at the clinic(I have oily, sensitive & acne prone skin). It took me about 7-8 days for my skin to be glowing(I avoid sunlight throughout the time my skin is healing).

So you are putting your injured skin thorough sunlight and makeup and wondering what's the issue

The pigmentation spots may have appeared because you didn't protect your skin enough from the sun, or that you used skincare with strong active ingredients too early. The pimples is very normal to get days after a microneedling session, because in the session of producing new healthy cells all the bacteria and so on that have been hiding under your skin is finally finding it way out, so it is showing on top of epidermis as pimples.

If you’re getting microneedling done with or without PRP, and you have Fitzpatrick skin type 4-6, it’s important that at least for 3-6 weeks prior to the treatment you use a melanin reducing treatment. For example, azelaic acid, retinoids, hydroquinone, tranexamic acid, etc. This is because for Fitz 4-6, the skin produces too much melanin when it’s inflamed, so you have to block the overproduction of melanin.

Also the day of the treatment, you shouldn’t have put on anything besides washing your face with a super gentle cleanser and tepid cool water, and then if it feels too tight, apply a thin layer of white petroleum jelly (not aquaphor, I had an allergic reaction to the ingredients).

During the recovery (days 1-6), only use spf in the morning, and gentle cleanse. Ideally it’s best not to use ANY actives (unless it’s cleared by your provider). I used a serum with growth factors but the product was already cleared by my provider and didn’t cause irritation.

😂😂 this video is hilarious! ♥️
Most ppl try to say you’ll be healed in 3 days but anyone who’s done it knows that’s nonsense.

My skin loves loved microneedling treatments🤭🤭. Also you shouldn't be in the sun for long period of time after getting a treatment as your skin is sensitive. You only suppose to use two products after a microneedling session which is an ointment you get from your dermatologist to help heal the skin and second product is sunscreen. You should do this for a week then you will see the beautiful results.

This is THE BEST treatment you can do for long term age management! Keep going girl! ❤

Why did you put product on it the first night 😭😭😭 and it's not even like a product prescribed from the dermatologist? I did a similar procedure and it was much more extreme, they used laser on my face and the wounding was so much worse, but the effect after healing WAS IMMACULATE. I didn't expose my wounds to other products 😭😭 only used sunblock and that sunblock was something that the doctor actually prescribed, and I made sure my face was nowhere near the sun

I thought people couldn't put makeup on after this procedure..or I may be thinking about an acid peel, so I could be wrong.

Ladies, we need to be aware of something here. Whenever we get these treatments, if we are either ovulating, on the first days of our period or some similar days of the month when you know you are more hormonal or sensitive (everyone is different, but you should be aware of it) you might have a different/ harsher reaction to it. I speak from experience. If I am at any of those moments in my cycle, I know I will get more red, itchy, peely, etc. so, just bear that in mind. Also, no actives in creams, lotions, essences, nothing following up those invasive treatments.

sunscreen and cerave cream are so perfect and don't apply any active ingredients during the process and no makeup, let it heal all the way. no fragrance either on the face or perfumes.

firstly, don’t put make up or random creams on your face when there are open wounds. You might can use sunscreen but only the ones that your dermatologist or doctor recommended you, it’s important to not go in the sun without protection.

No honey, I would stop. No need to injure your skin over and over. I dermaroll at home with the AngelKiss 0.5mm depth using Penn Smith, Master Esthetician's protocol (she's on YT). She quotes studies where collagen building occurs with 0.3-0.5mm depth. Afterward I do a LED mask session followed by NIOD CAIS 3 Copper peptide serum. Perfection: Improved texture, hyperpigmentation lightening, increased illumination.
