GW prices have always been high but it's just getting completely ridiculous now. Their costs aren't going up like this but prices are hiked regularly.

"The High Kâhl's Oath" by Gav Thorpe about the Leagues of Votann is scheduled for Nov 1, so maybe we will get a second wave of LoV models on that weekend.

Those Kill Team prices are a bit barking. In any case I think Hivestorm might have done better if they'd dropped rules for the new Scions and Vespid for 40k at the same time. Mind you, if you know a Tau player and play Guard, or vice-versa, maybe GW are hoping those individual Kill Team prices will make you look again at the 'value' of the starter box!

I'm glad Space Marine 2 might have brought some newcomers into the hobby. I'm sure a fair few might be put off by the prices especially as they keep going up.

This really means nothing but in my city to two stores have plenty of Kill Team. The big store sold 2 boxes pre order and that is it as of this afternoon.

I am from Germany and both me and a coworker picked up Warhammer 40k independently. I searched for a hobby outside from Programming and Elektronics. Since i always liked Warhammer, but couldn't afford the prices before, i picked it up for the chill factor of painting the minis. Playing is a different thing for me, since i don't really have someone to play 40k with and Kill Team/War Cry, Warhammer Underworlds seem to be a better fit. My list of viewed youtube videos consists of atleast 50% Warhammer content (paint tutorials, etc.).

from what i see is a lot are buying the kill team box to get the terrain and book, then selling the kill teams.

My hope/prediction for the rumor engine is Idoneth Deepkin finally getting some endless spells. Someone drowning in a pool on land would fit with their ethersea magic. There was an old rumor engine that has yet to be released that looks like the ocean spray on the Eidolon of Mathlann's cape that could be another Idoneth model, they've been rumored to be getting their second wave (heh) of models for a while now.

I picked up a pre-order for Hivestorm, and I am amazed to see that, at the end of the first day, its still in stock in most places. GJ GW!
