Our theory ends up Drawing from The Penguin Episode 7 and connecting themes from Pain and Prejudice, The Killing Joke, and ancient Greek drama, we reveal surprising parallels that could shed light on The Penguin’s motives. We also have to break down Oz’s mother role in all of this. So today lets analyze Colin Farrell’s portrayal of Penguin in the Matt Reeves Batman Universe, examining DC Comics lore, DC Studios' storytelling, and the dark psychology behind Gotham's iconic villain.

I really hope the actress playing Oz’s mom wins awards for her performance, she killed it just as much as Colin and Cristin Milioti

Yeah, something seemed off when they showed Rex Calabrese in the flashback. He looks too young to have died from a heart attack

Remember the Penguin is a Batman "villain". He always has been evil from the start. The only Batman villain I believe could be good is Mr. Freeze.

That's an insane amount of work and if all true this show is more meticulously written than I thought. Well done man.

Yess.. victor was our sympathy for this penguin. Penguin killed the viewrs sympathy for us by his own hands and tells us clearly he doesn't deserves our sympathy 😊

I always thought "Yeah, Penguins evil, but he doesn't seem crazy, why does he belong in Arkham?". The Finale of this series finally answered that, sick Oedipus-complex fuck!

I’m glad you mention that Victor is us. I’ve always had this connection with that guy. He’s the reason I watch it.

“Is he an anti hero or evil” … he killed a dude cause he laughed at him, burned a mother and her son alive while smiling at it…. If you even gotta ask then you slow in the head fr

This makes so much sense. The actually tell us this early on in the podcast, Victor gives us the perspective to see the full person of the Penguin. But that’s going to make us all hate him, if or when he kills Victor

I think Rex is Oz’s father. Oswald looks quite different from his two brothers and as a child he has the slick black hair and dark eyes Rex has. This would make Rex’s comments about being a father to his underlings in order to manipulate them even more gutting. It also fits with the Oedipus comparison, because Oedipus does not know his true father until it’s too late.

This episode made me want Sophia to win, his mother knew what he did the whole time. Also, I think oz loved rex but I think oz killed rex

you know what i love about your penguin theory videos? its how quick you get too the point, instead of rambling and getting side tracked making it a 20-30 min video its much shorter and packed with information necessary for your theory. Great video 👍

‘Is the Penguin an anti hero, or is he just evil?’

After that finale, he’s evil. Just evil

There's no words to describe how evil he is.

I wish Rex Calabrese was also played by Colin Farrell.

When Rex Calabrese showed up I felt....underwhelmed. He was nowhere near as cool or likeable as Oz made him out to be. And that's good! It shows that Oz's entire life has been about living up to a childish idea of a gangster that doesn't actually exist.

This is one of the best breakdowns I've seen in a longtime. Great job researching!
