What my favorite thing about this song is, is how it has a very mysteriously optimistic sound to it, that to me basically says anything is possible if you believe in your determination to make it possible. I think of this tune whenever I am working hard to pursue some sort of a goal that has proven to be a challenge.

Truly an amazing movie, and an incredible soundtrack.

I know a lot of people love films like Spirited Away and Princess Monoke and so forth, but I'm sorry, Castle in the Sky is still my favorite Ghibli film. I love the characters, I love the music, I love the animation, I love the action, and it felt a lot like the adventure and action films I grew up watching as a kid. It's a film I love with all my heart and I always love it more each time I watch it.

This song saddens me every time I try to find the original of the robot saluting the city in the sk. I think back to when I saw this movie with my grandmother for the first time and we both captured by this world until the ending. Now years on after her passing and finding many versions of this song I remember one post talking about the robot not needing covering his eyes from the sun but saluting the city he served till the end and may that OG posters memory carry on to every version of this song.

This is my all time favorite Miyazaki movie. There, I said it

Two words to describe this: absolutely amazing! The song plays during the opening credits, which show the construction of Laputa (at least I think it does). The miners worked hard so that the factories could produce the materials needed to build airships and other aircraft, and finally, they built flying cities. Not only does it awaken your imagination, but it also takes you to an entirely different place, a lost world.

This movie, is, you know what my favorite movie of all time. Perfect storytelling, perfect characters, perfect music, and I’ve been watching it since I was three. I love this movie and watch it to this day. It’s just so perfect and this theme encapsulates all of the feelings I get watching this very movie and more.
