Sea Shells on Vinegar

Anyone trying to figure this one out and doesn’t understand what’s happening… Those parts moving around outside the shell is referred to as the foot of the clam. It sticks this out to move itself around from place to place. In this case the vinegar is burning it so it’s trying to move away from the source of “irritation”. It’s akin to pouring salt on slugs/snails…

What is the purpose of this!
It's basically a form of torture.. Treat all living things with respect, so there is no suffering.
