Key moment from The Best Christmas Pageant Ever (SCENE)

This scene isn't from the book, but I believe it captures the whole point of the book as well as the whole point of the Christmas story. I also made this scene a bit of a love letter to Moms, as the mom here, portrayed by the brilliant Judy Greer, is a total selfless boss.

I got to see an advance screening of the movie and it was awesome! Definitely one of my favorite Christmas movies and a great adaptation of its source material. I kind of wish they weren't using this particular scene to advertise it though. I mean, it's a great scene in context but out of context, it makes the movie seem sappy and message-y when really, it's very sharp and humorous. The emotional parts and serious themes are more of a surprise and that's part of what makes them shine.
