As long as we’re here, you should do a bit on Ed, Edd, n’ Eddy: the last show to keep using traditional cels up until the mid-2000s.

Fun fact: Here in Latin America those seasons with "faux-cel animation" are still regarded as good, even if the writing wasn't as good as the original 1-8 seasons, because they have the original voice actors, who left after season 15 after being underpaid.

They didn't start using full digital animation until season 14. From 7 to 13 they did a mix of both.

Another reason they switched to how it looks currently is because it’s easier to animate cleaner and it’s less time consuming

I don’t really watch the simpsons but I always felt that the early 2000’s seasons from like 11-16 were the best looking in the entire show. They aren’t as rough looking as the earlier seasons, and don’t look nearly as bland and boring as the new episodes that come out 🤷‍♂️
