Try this for building GenV VVE

MassAirflow * Temp / (MAP * RPM * Displacement)

MassAirflow: g/sec
Temp: Under 'Airflow > Speed Density', it’s the 'VE Base Temp' converted to Kelvin
MAP: BAR
Displacement: Cubic Meters
(I think this is of 1 cylinder, haven't done it in a while but, slightly possible it's all cylinders)

Should be spot on. I was using IAT in K for Temp and was always close but, not spot on. I decided to try the 'VE Base Temp' in K and voila. I think this is usually 68F which would be 293.15K

To add from my last post. Once you have created your table Maf to Ve and added the table to your log and in conjunction with your EQ Ratio Error log. Once you have logged a run, now you can prove your Ratio. Previous Vve table value / Maf to Ve value = % EQ Ratio Error. Of course it wont always equal the error but it usually in the ball park. Thats why its important to adjust your desired output multiplier in the Maf to Ve equation to match your VVE table and Error adjustment or desired Lambda. So this is how I used Goat Rope tuning formula, obviously I chose to not Zero out my VVE tables and Im still running Speed Density in Open Loop. Of course I could be doing it all wrong, some how it seems to work. Im just passing on my experience using this Formula. Thanks again Goat Rope Tuning!

Gen IV, 2015 Camaro Z28 427, ZO6 Gen IV Corvette motor, Gen V drivetrain. Gen IV 427: (Mass Airflow g/s * IAT K) / (Manifold Absolute Pressure Bar * Engine Speed Rpm * 427 displacement (.0070 m3)) * (desired Output/Lambda). HP tuner Formula: ([50040.71] * [50011.240]) / ([50030.99] * [50070.56] * (0.0070)) * (1.04). VVE is Gen IV. I'm using most of your formual but not zeroing out my VVE tables. Im using this MAF to VE formual in conjunction with my EQ Ratio Error to populate the VVE Table. The EQ Ratio Error is used as a check and the New table MAF to VE is pasted to the VVE Table, all values are 100%, no dividing by half, just the full amount from the new table Maf to Ve. Important that you prove the output of your formula, with calculator, with the previous VVe table and using you EQ Rato Error table as a check. VE= tuning desired output (Maf to VE table), check EQ Ratio Error and unchanged Vve table to prove desired output.) Here's the calculation I used for a Gen IV 427: (Mass Airflow g/s * IAT K) / (Manifold Absolute Pressure Bar * Engine Speed Rpm * 427 displacement (.0070 m3)) * (desired Output/Lambda). HP tuner Formula: ([50040.71] * [50011.240]) / ([50030.99] * [50070.56] * (0.0070)) * (1.04). For my 2015 Camaro Z28 this Formula seems to work quite well but it is still involves adjusting the numbers. Its just another tool to help getting your Tune where it needs to be. I have an odd question. I pulled a factory tune off of the hp tuners site for a 6L GTO, and the math under engine displacement works out to 5.7L. I know earlier GTOs were 5.7L, but this is from a confirmed 6L. I had others with 6Ls check their files, and they come up with the same 5.7L in the displacement section too. So why is this, and where is displacement actually accounted for in the tune if not here? My concern is that if I stroked the engine, I would’ve planned to simply change that displacement, but it doesn’t seem to be used.

Trying to duplicate this for Gen3. I see your formula for Standard VE is:

((MAF * IAT) / (MAP * RPM * Displacement))

I have a data log with the following information:

MAF = 155.43g/s
IAT = 305.37K
MAP = 1.01Bar
RPM = 3202
Displacement = .005699 m3


The result I get is 2575.25. What am I supposed to do with this number, as it is not one that fits my VE table.

But if i have a aftermarket intake and exhust system we must recalibrate the MAF so we can't use it to fill the VE table im confused 😕. Maybe this only work if your stock and doing speed density mod

I can't seem to get this to work on 3 gen. I get numbers like 1411, 1543 and so on. These numbers simply don't look right for my VE table. Do I use the wrong math?
I use the one provided in here for standard VE Table
VE: ((MAF * IAT) / (MAP * RPM * Displacement))
MAF in g/s
IAT in K
MAP in bar
Displacement in m3 (times number of cylinders (8)
