X-Particles Test Render: 10 Million Particles in Cinema 4D

Показать описание

Here's my first quick test render using X-Particles to drive a 10 million particle simulation in Cinema 4D. Render time was 2hrs 50min at 1080p, color correction/grading and motion blur were added in After Effects.

You can actually buy X-Particles for 30% off until the end of April 2014, so I highly recommend picking this plugin up if you're into Cinema 4D. It's extremely powerful and robust, yet easy to use and fast.

I'd also like to share that I was able to purchase this plugin thanks to all your kind donations and support from my scripts. Your donations allow me to access new tools and techniques so I can continue to learn and share my knowledge with the community. A big personally thanks from me!

Expect more experiments and tutorials coming soon as I continue to learn this awesome plugin.

I didn't render this guy in 1080p for nothing! Watch in full HD :)

Next experiment: 100 million particles with liquid simulation.
The particles don't look dense on YouTube with all the compression, but on Vimeo you can easily tell how numerous the particles are.

You really set a good example, because, what ever you do, you do it like a pro. Not leaving anything unfinished, and un'polished', so to speak, and always aiming for perfection. Good tutorials, great skills, respect.

I have x-particles and have been eating for someone to do the exact thing you just did so that I could get a good start on learning it. I'd appreciate it if you could at least do a tiny tutorial :). More people have x-particles than you think; or would get it after seeing your tut! Please and thank you in advance.

What was your simulation time? Been interested in x particles cause of pflow limited single thread operation. And is X particles capable of multithreading.
