To me MVP has always been how much you impact winning for your team. Luka has an insane usage rate just for the Mavs to be mediocre, he literally HAD to go for 70+ points vs the Hawks who are dreadful just to beat them by a minimal margin…

it hard to compare guys like Giannis, Jokic, Luka, and Shai b/c their impact is nearly identical and it’s hard to decide who is the clear best player when you can make an argument for each player based off of this season. It really just comes down to what you prefer in a player and you value the most for an MVP

How Luka isn’t de facto number 2 i don’t understand. Just look at that comparison with SGA, yes SGA’s D is better but Luka is propelling a bottom 6 team to a positive record, how you are more valuable to a team than that I don’t understand
