If age spots are simply hyperpigmentation, then there are loads of topical products that get rid of that. They just don't work immediately or even overnight. I've had great results using vitamin c, and I wasn't even trying to get rid of my summer freckles. They disappeared by accident, in the middle of summer as well.

(I know I wouldn't get freckles in the summer if I slathered on sunscreen every morning, but I only use it outside because its expensive and gives me spots no matter what brand. Also there's nothing better than topping up your vitamin D stores to keep you going through the winter. I don't let myself burn, so chill vampires.)

Dr. Youn, a couple of hours ago I saw YouTube video of you on the Rachael Ray show showing to use licorice extract to remove age spots. I'm not sure what you mean by them being removed. There are other products that are used to remove age spots. They don't have to be physically cut out.
