Teen struck by stray bullet inside Queens home

A teenager was shot by a stray bullet while inside her home, and now the search is on for whoever pulled the trigger. CBS2's Elijah Westbrook has the latest from the scene in St. Albans.

The thing that burns me the most is that most of these clowns call themselves gangsters, but they're shooting at their OPS from across the street or from a block away like American Sniper or something. You idiots can't even aim. Put the guns down and throw your hands. Nowadays, their clothes be too pretty and they don't want to break a nail. I can't tell the difference between the males and the females anymore. It's disgusting!!! Anyway, I'm glad the little sister is ok. I wish her a speedy recovery. God bless her.

I grew up in St. Albans, Queens. This is not a "hood." This is an "All in the Family, " "King of Queens" type of house that people have in Queens. Yes, it's a black neighborhood. A middle-income, middle-class Black neighborhood. I hope they find the punks the shooting soon.

My friend from HS was killed by a drive by in his home in Bayside almost 20 years ago. NO ARREST WAS EVER MADE! When will something be done about these guns! PUT GPS IN THE GUNS! Go after the NRA and gun manufacturers.

Mayor Adams, you are the mayor of NYC. You are also a leader of the Black community. You need to stand-up, be honest, and address the "gun violence" that is rampant in your community, that is killing Black and White and Green and Purple, and the street violence that is plaguing this city. NO, it is not racist, nor am I a racist. And it's not covid and you will never get guns off the street (and you know that as well). It's reality and what we all know but fear saying. Address the problem honesty and confidently and you will be respected. Not so difficult to do.
