In Part 3 of this episode, Chris Harris takes out a Porsche 911 that has been restored by the acclaimed Singer Vehicle Design, to see if years of work have paid off.

This episode of /DRIVE on NBC Sports is about hand-made perfection, or the quest for it, at least.

Two small companies have very different ideas of what perfection is. Koenigsegg uses turbos, V8 engines, and hand-laid carbon fiber. Their cars cost over a million dollars and go unspeakably fast.

On the other side of the world, Singer Vehicle Design takes Porsche 911s and re-imagines them, improving every part, without deviating from the original.

But the two meet at the junction of obsessive care and specific details, and the results speak for themselves.

You don't buy a car like this for the price. Hell, you don't build a car like this because of the cost. You either do it or shut up about it. The end result is probably worth it despite the price. When I look at this car and all the parts and effort that went to it, I see it through different eyes. I see it all and it's gorgeous.

Don't lie to yourselves, guys. You know that if you won the lottery, this car would be on your "potential purchase" list.

So how much does a Ruf or a Techart cost ? More or less than a singer. Wouldn't it be cheaper to buy a 90's Porsche then turn it into something like this yourself?
This car reminds me of the old Corgi Juniors toy Porsche 911 sold to kids back in the 1970's

IMO, 2/3 of that price tag goes to exclusivity.
