Amazing! Which clock speed are the SN74HC165 running at? Do the registers acquire all 256 DIO values at the same time and then they are shifted on a single serial line in 256 steps?

It's surely impressive but am not getting point of adding all the channels on same boards

Almost all of the times we have one pair of wire going to one room from braker box and after that distributed in the points from that room if you install this besides braker box it shut whole room or else it will need additional wire runs for everything to central place

Can you elaborate please why so many chanels on single board for home automation ?

Why u go single pwb, not modular? Such pwb is much expensive to produce i think and Handling with so much smt components have to be stabile how do you support 5m long device?1
