the way my family cooks porgy its 1 keeper porgy per person and we cook them hole because the skin becomes soft and theres lots of bones so you just pick through it for meat. So basically 4 porgys= 4 people

Bigger porgy on lures for sure! And it's so much more rewarding catching them on lures. I like using spro phat fly bucktails using a dropper rig and a 1 oz. weight. I gotta play around with metals this summer. Gotta try those heavy minnows.
