Is your Beko washing machine stuck on a spin cycle that never ends? Clothes coming out dripping wet? You're not alone. The dreaded E05 error code could be the culprit!

This video is your ultimate solution to banish E05 and get your washer spinning smoothly again.

If your Beko washing machine will not empty or it will not drain then the machine will not be able to go into a spin, you have a few faults that can cause this, the first is the easiest! You may just have a simple blocked filter where items that fell out of your pockets like coins, screws hair clips, etc. Maybe blocking the flow of water or the impeller blade on the pump.

The program would have E05, showing in the diagnostic sequence or engineers mode as it is known, it does not always display on the front of the machine. In this video, we will go through all the faults that can cause the machine not to empty in the allocated period of time. This is what creates the error code E05.

I didn't need this one, but experience of you helping me previously [consequently I still HAVE the Beko machine and it is running long after other folk might have trashed and replaced it] tells me I'll be smart to save this link.
Your skills as a technician are undeniable, but your skills in communicating and presenting these tutorials are also excellent.

great vid! easy to follow and was the biz for real. Fixed my Beko 1-9kg, wasnt draining, so popped it to bits as per the vid. turned out it was a nail stopping the pump from turning.
nice one, saved me 350 quid. Honestly im so chuffed

AMAZING!

Just had exactly the same problem as explained in the above video.

I was unable to unscrew the filter.
It was a small sock wrapped around the filter making it well stuck within the housing and extremely difficult to remove. I used some pliers to get a grip on the filter cap and I am pretty sure I was only a fraction from breaking it. Next time I will disassemble the pump rather than force the cap off.

Thankfully it all turned out well in the end.
Great video!
Well done!
Thank you.

Very good explanation. I'll try it tomorrow with my washing machine. The filter is clean so I will need to check the pipe.

Thanks mate much appreciated. You just disappointed my missus tho because she wanted a new washer/dryer. We have the washer/dryer combi and the diagnostic instructions didn't work for me. But i managed to get the sump pipe off from the bottom and found a sock, quid, and ball of gunge. Thanks mate, i went from not draining to fixed in 60 minutes thanks to your help!

This video helped me resolve a draining issue on a Hotpoint washer. I was still getting an error code after checking the filter, drainage hose and even the p-trap for obstructions; I removed the pump following the video and found an array of coins and hair clips that had been the culprit. Thank you!

Very well laid out video.
Unfortunately my washing machine which looks the exact same as that Beko is paneled in on the underside & I don't want to remove the front panel as getting back on the rubber inside the door is a nightmare.

15 MINUTES! I’m in a hotel and this happened. The two maintenance guys just busted the cap, and pulled out the debris thru the hole. Then, screwed in a new cap. DONE under 15 mins!

Thank you for this, it's been very helpful to me and now my washing machine is working again - thankfully I did not have to take the front off but if I do in the future I know who's video's to watch.

Thank you! Saved me some money here, pump replaced and working. My fan was broken so replaced the pump assembly. Your video was on point.

So, I followed the instructions in this great video... a lot of work, everything was clean and the pump showed 180ohm in the multimeter.
Eventually, I didn't check the simplest thing - there were 2 small coins stuck at the end of the drain pipe, so I all of the work was for nothing LOL

Thank you so much for your helpful video! I got a diagnostic code E18 which I looked up and it has to do with unbalanced load. It didn’t like that I was trying to wash 1 small rug (that my dog peed on) and it came out soaking wet. But nice to know the machine is ok otherwise. I also cleaned the filter and found 2 hair pins stuck there. Yikes.

I used to be a Professional Dry Cleaner. Dry Cleaning is called "dry" because it uses a chemical solvent (perchloroethylene), instead of water. We used to sort the load, and remove anything from the pockets. Pens were a particular problem, if they got into a load. Despite our best efforts, foreign objects sometimes DID make it into the load. Sometimes, upon opening the machine door, I would find coins and even paper bank notes! Obviously, money couldn't be returned to the owner, as we had no idea to whom it belonged!

The perchloethylene was distilled in the machine's steam heated still, and recycled for reuse. Perc was lost from the system by evaporation. I had an alarm to evacuate the building in case of white or blackover, if the still were to boil over. The fumes are dangerous. The still never did boil over on my watch!

Incidentally, the Dry Cleaning Machines were HUGE, and had no suspension or shocks. The machines were physically bolted to the floor, although this didn't stop a Permac from trying to jump off the floor, and blowing a fuse, when it tried to spin a load with perc still inside the cage!

Terrible days! Glad they're over! Have YOU ever had your arm in a button trap with perchloroethylene up to the elbow?

After taking it all apart and then reassembling, i cant get the drum sump pipe to seal and it leaks whenever water is in the drum. Does the screw band have to be in any particular position to tighten evenly?

Excellent video! Very good approach and clearly explaining how to solve the problem. I have a Bosch Maxx 7 Varioperfect washing machine, which is not spinning and draining. I have checked the pump, the filter, and all related pipes and drainage and they are all OK. What else do you think might be the problem? Thanks in advance for your prompt attention to my question.
