I think that Boise Cascade is certainly one to look into. The need for lumber is not going away, and even though it is quite cyclical, what goes around, comes around.

Thanks for the shout out Russ, I have a good feeling about GSL and the high outstanding stock shares were used to grow there business. They do have older ships that they are updating for pollution EU requirements but since there contracts are with high quality clients i feel fairly confident that the next 2 years are safe and any recession should be over by 2025. Also the trading volume is quite low averaging under 650k per day.

DVN is another stock that i think is undervalued recently as their last earnings call was received overly negative and I believe that the market overreacted. Their next quarter might also have lower production as they mentioned a fire but as that is old news I think it's already priced in.
Oil prices will almost always rebound in the summer and they pay a fixed dividend and also a special dividend each quarter based on available free cash flow. In my opinion the overreaction by the market makes a compelling entry point for a long term dividend hold.

GSL and DAC (Danaos) are both potentially excellent players in the container ship industry. The shipping companies that lease the ships have stronger balance sheets then a few years ago because of pandemic related consumer buying, so they should be able to pay GSL and DAC what is owed.
