Have the 16 Avedis and 16 Lights. Love them both! Went with the 15 Sweets to break it up a bit. Avedis are my favs.

Somehow, the Avedis cymbals have always sounded unpleasant to my ear

They all sound amazing. I used to play a lot of Zildjian A-type bright cymbals, but in recent years, I've been drawn to the dryer, darker jazz stuff. I currently use a set a 14-inch regular-old Zildjian K's, but would love to get my hands on those 16" Sweet K's. Though they blended the best of the Avedis and the Light hats here.
