Land Rover Series Chassis Jig
Показать описание
Adding more features to the Land Rover chassis jig.
Notes for you all :-)
1. We are experimenting here with 2.5mm Galvanised steel, if this works out well it will save the cost of hot dipping and all the venting
2. We do understand the issues with contamination when welding with a Mig on Galv and have purchased a 3Kw, 3-Phase laser welder/cleaner/cutter. it will be with us late May and we will fully demonstrate its usefulness once we have got our head around it.
3. We believe the investment in this technology will save us time, which is money ofcourse and make a cleaner, better job of all of our restoration projects. The cleaning process leaves no chemicals and removes all contaminants.
3. We do make sure all our engineering staff are protected from fumes when welding. We all have appropriate PPE and respirator welding helmets.
4. As we build this new chassis, we are going to take liberties with the original design and modify some of the excess tabs and brackets that "appear" to be of no significant value to the fittings or structural integrity. Please feel free to comment if you think we are making mistakes, I am sure you will not hold back :-) We will show before, after and our reasoning.
5. As the components are completed we will go into production with those parts and they will end up on our new website for sale. Unfortunately for some of you this may not be a great option as we live down near the south pole penguins and shipping may make it uneconomic, but we will do our best to keep cost as low as we can.
