This is a video of my 2 watt laser cutting through plastic, & igniting paper. I built the laser my self, host is a C6, driver is 1.8 amps, diode is an Osram PLTB450B 1.6W 450nm Blue Laser Diode. I'm using 2x 16340 battery's. The power output is over 2 Watts!
Trust me do not go playing around with these lasers unless you know what you are doing! These lasers can permanently blind you! Real laser eye protection (not sunglasses or welding goggles) is REQUIRED while using powerful lasers!

Hi mate, I have a powerful laser and it can light matches, tape and do all of the above. But for some reason it can can only burn paper but IT CANNOT IGNITE PAPER. Any reasons why?
