The PILOT session will be on the 17th December 2024 at 11am UK time (GMT) £12 (15.50 USD). I would love for you to join me and all levels are welcome ******

Have you ever wondered how you can make your watercolours look more contemporary? In this demonstration I show how I created two semi abstract watercolour landscape paintings using a medium called aquapasto. This is a fantastic medium that add body to the watercolour paints but maintains the transparency. Once down you can drag the watercolour and aquapasto mix about and make marks in it using silicon tools or just the end of your paintbrush!. I talk about the colour palettes I chose for each and talk briefly about the principles I followed when making colour mixing choices.

I love to get feedback from people so if you have any questions or comments then let me know in the comments section below the video.

Please follow my channel for similar videos. You can purchase paintings and prints from my website . You can see floral and botanical clipart in my Paper Sun Design Etsy Store. Thank you for watching! (see links below)

I love these! & especially like your use of quadrants for balance. I wonder if nori paste will work like aquapasto.. I'm about to find out 😘

I find your demonstration exciting. My work I’d representational and I have so wanted to loosen it up but have not known where to begin really. Even without the aquapadto This looks like such fun. Have just subscribed.

Lovely paintings Anna!
I've been working more with watercolor this year and now I'm curious to try Aquapasto. I've heard the name, but never really paid attention to what it is. Thank you for sharing your process.

Love love this video! So low key but with so many gems within it. I had to laugh at Cerulean blue part. You put it exactly where I wanted it to go! Great minds n'all that 😆. Cheers from Aus!😎

Very interesting Bella. Coincidentally, I was experimenting today with watercolours and aquapasto… after watching your videos of this technique. I was trying to get the effect of rippling waves on a rock pool, using aquapasto… perhaps you could have a go at something similar? Thanks for sharing your experiments, as you’ve opened up a fascinating new avenue for me. Mick. 😊

Absolutely loved it all - really beautiful work! Never having worked with watercolour, am I safe to assume you were 'wet on wet' throughout - or have I missed some details? Thanks ever so much - happy to 'Subscribe' and 'Like'

How interesting thankyou! I'd be interested to know whose masking tape you used? I had a roll of fluorescent pink plasticy stuff for years and it was so reliable and very low tack but enough to reuse over and over. But, alas, I am at the end of the roll and everything I have tried thus far has pulled the surface of my papers up :-(
