How To Protect Your Felt Cowboy Hat From Water And Stains

In this video I tested it out the Twister Felt Hat Water Repellent & Stain Protector Spray AKA Scout water and stain protector on my beaver felt cowboy hat.

So either one will be the same thing..

That stuff does work pretty good. I've used it on a few felt hats.
HOWEVER, One word of warning: Use care if/when spraying the underside of the brim (ashe did in this video). DO NOT get the spray on the hatband (particularly if it's a leather band) as it will make the band VERY sticky, and it cannot be cleaned off! The leather band will be PERMANENTLY sticky!

Don't ask me how I discovered this. LOL!

Otherwise, a great product when properly applied.

I like that 3 1/2-inch brim. Sadly, they are virtually extinct. They were very popular in the 1960s.

I use twister product of cleaner and water stain r. Spray stuff and hoarse head brush to clean my felt hats.

It doesn’t smell all that bad, but you will catch a buzz if you used in a small, enclosed room.
Even though I use the stuff, I still won’t wear my hats out in the rain, at least not without a cover.

If you order a pair from them, be prepared to wait a longass time.

idk if im just dumb but i tried this on my 3x wool felt hat and it didnt work all that well😕

Just use Aqua Net hair spray. It works the same and costs far less.
