Demo Broadlink RM Mini 3 integration with Google Home via Home Assistant

Broadlink RM Mini 3 is a good alternative for Logitech Harmony Hub as the IR blaster in your home automation system for a cheaper price.

For those who don't know what is IR Blaster, it basically copy all your IR enable devices command and repeat it. So for your old devices that doesn't have WIFI connection but have IR receiver, you can control it using this RM Mini 3. There is another model, RM Pro that support RF signal.

Broadlink doesn't have direct integration with Google Home. However the result above can be achieve using Home Assistant.

this is great, however I had to do a ton of other research to figure out how to make this happen, something I feel a 5min walk-though vid could have cut down on. Don't need to to take it to the lowest ludite level, but a quick tutorial would have given a good stepping off point

Hi! I have same set. My Broadlink TC2 switches works well, as like my TV, etc. But I have a few remote code which is works well in Home Assistant, but Google Home don't want to switch trough IFTTT maker. Have you any idea? Here is an example: I can turn on/off my TV with google home, but I can't use channel switch which is works well in Home Assistant browser interface.

I don't understand what broadlink IR blaster has to do with AC and fan control. It's more for multimedia to control TV and music /video players. For ACs and fans, wifi plugs and switches are what you need.

PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, DO NOT BUY this crap: the RM Mini 3. IT DOES NOT CONNECT to the app anymore. It worked up to a point when they made app upgrade. The hardware it's OK but it's clear that Broadlink (who are obviously big crooks) want you to buy the newer version 4. I've tried everything (on IOS) all the apps IHC, Broadlink app, Broadlink e-control. It simply cannot connect to the device using both available connection methods. Piece of Crap
