Pathfinder Wrath of the Righteous: Seelah Build Guide (Paladin Tank) How to Build Companion WoTR
In this Seelah Pathfinder: Wrath of the Righteous Companion Build Guide, I’m going to break down the best Attributes, Skills, Feats, Spells, Mythic Path, and Equipment you should select to improve Seelah’s tank capabilities. Instead of multiclassing, I’ll focus on enhancing her Paladin Class, which is optimized to survive massive amounts of damage. If you’re looking for an effective and simple Build that allows you to go toe-to-toe with enemies, then this Seelah Build Guide is for you.

Seelah is an effective Paladin Tank who is able to aggro and withstand the damage inflicted by enemies. There are other useful Abilities that enhance her effectiveness such as Lay on Hands, which gets better the higher her level is. Aside from healing, you can also use this against Undead creatures to damage them.

There’s also Divine Weapon Bond to enhance your Longsword by changing its alignment or damage type.

As a Paladin, you also get the Mercy Ability, which lets you cure allies who are afflicted with certain conditions. The best Mercy to obtain at earlier levels is Fatigued. Oftentimes your entire party feels fatigue after more than a day’s worth of adventuring without setting up Camp.

In terms of Feats, you’ll want to balance the penalties that reduce the success rate of your Attack Rolls. This is the reason why I didn’t take Power Attack. Also, make sure to take Teamwork Feats if you have allies focused on dealing Melee Damage like Fighters. They’ll most likely possess the same Feats, which will help in enhancing both of your capabilities.

If other characters are being constantly hit with fear, charm or spell-like abilities, then staying relatively close to Seelah provides them with Saving Throw Bonuses against these negative effects thanks to her Aura of Courage and Aura of Resolve Abilities.

Lastly, remember that the similar bonuses besides Dodge aren’t cumulative. For instance, wearing two Rings of Protection won’t double your Deflection Bonuses to AC. You’ll be able to see a warning on non-stacking bonuses in your Equipment section.

Wait... a Youtuber showcasing a single-class build instead of a triple-class+ combo! My sincerest respect!

not for nothing, but i have been looking at all your guides you posted and these are very informative, mbut all ofmthem are missing 1 single thing that would make them so much easier to read.
just putting a simole summary at the bottom, like this

"class levels xx/ class levels xx" explaining exactly how many classes you took
and then do a breakdown of each level like this
"starting stats xx/xx/xx/xx/xx/xx"
"levle 1 : took this class. took these feats. took these skills"
"level 2 : class/fears/skils"
etc. . up to 20.

i mean, it's awesome that you explain the abilities and why you are taking them, but it's a lot of info to absorb and having a neat summary at the end would make it so much more effective

Paladins add their Cha bonus to saves, so you don't need Iron Will or Lightning Reflexes. You forgot to mention the penalty for Combat Expertise also increases. Using a tower shield inflicts a penalty to hit even with proficiency. I get your trying to make the ultimate tank, but you are gimping the class by focusing this way. Paladins tank fine without the feats I mentioned. Raising her Dex to a 16 will get you the max bonus the Carapace armor gives, plus it raises her initiative as well.

I'm by no means an expert, I'm still learning, I just think it's hilariously strange that a Paladin (a lawful good character) has a pickpocket feat automatically at level 1 xD

EDIT: okay just googled, it's part of her background story as a thief, completely forgot.

a breakdown per level would be much preferred

Having just played to level 10 right now, let me stop you right there.
1. Boss NPCs, which are the only monsters you really need a tank for have a Spell Resistance and saves up the wazzoo, so you really should focus on buff spells and your hit bonus as well as damage, cause no amount of AC is going to get you prepared for the insanity of the big NPCs damage.
Destroy them while they are flat footed.

2. Mounted Combat!
Don't underestimate her mounted ability, ESPECIALLY with Carapace!
And for that you need high mobility and the Mounted Combat feat.

3. Power Attack, Cleave, Cleaving Finish.. Nuff said.

4. Always dip into a rogue or vivisectionist level and get accomplished sneak attacker. She might be a tank but she needs to hit hard as well and with her mount her opponents are ALWAYS considered flanked so you ALWAYS get sneak attack!

The shield wall feat makes me really want to make a 3 character team that is purely defensive then have the ranged and healer in behind them, I am sure there will be encounters where the group gets attacked from multiple sides but it sounds like a really interesting way to block the enemy from doing much of anything when you can chokepoint them or just block their movements

Would you choose Divine Weapon Bond over Animal Companion? I'll be honest in my first play through I found the horse rather invaluable, running into combat just like a Rangers Bonded Animal.

When it comes to features: I would seriously not recommend extra lay on hands. It is useful only if Seelah has time to heal and most of the time she has not. Basically, this feature is useless unless when she removes fatigue, disease, etc. Team features are much more useful as on harder difficulty levels you need every advantage that increases your attacks. Otherwise you basically miss most of the time. Secondly, this healing is very miniscule.

I bet they saw that paladins was one of the most created classes on kingmaker, and decided to make a companion now, and its good to see that smite evil still one of the most op de debuffs you can apply...

3:33 "in terms of seela's skills, you want to focus on mobility, persuasion and use magic device"
.
,
zoom in to her character sheet showing only 1 point in mobility and 14 in knowledge world. . .

Cas, what do you think about turning her into a cavalier? The mounts are pretty awesome.

One Sorcerer level and 4 Dragon disciple levels gives her a lot of good things like natural AC bonus, an extra bite attack and some nice attribute bonus, without missing out much on the Paladin class, considering that Paladins get most of their interesting stuff early on anyway

What about the horse ? Is it worth it with her low mobility (heavy armor and shield) for mounted combat ? Its still extra 60Hp

These are great! So glad you are making them. I'd love to see a Laan build. The monk/archer thing has me confused on what feats to take.
