아베, 야스쿠니신사 제사에 일본 총리 명의로 공물 봉납
Japanese Prime Minister Shinzo Abe sent a ritual offering bearing his name to the controversial Yasukuni shrine on Tuesday… to mark the beginning of its annual autumn festival.
Kyodo News Agency says Abe is likely to refrain from visiting the shrine during the four-day festival,… apparently in consideration of relations with South Korea and China amid growing threats from North Korea.
Past visits by Japanese leaders to Yasukuni have outraged the neighboring countries as it honors more than a dozen Class-A war criminals, …along with Japan's other war dead.
However, Abe continues to send offerings during the shrine's twice yearly festivals and on August 15th, the anniversary of Japan's surrender in World War II.

Visiting Japanese Yasukuni Shrine is the same as American going to Arlington National Cemetery. It is a matter of course to show respect for the deceased. There is no relation such as a war criminal to a deceased person.
