*ABOUT US - PACIFIC PINES RANCH*
After spending several years living the "city life", we decided we wanted a change. We sold almost all of our possessions, renovated a camper van, and toured the US looking for a piece of land to start our journey. After almost 2 years, we found our piece of paradise in the Pacific Northwest, and Pacific Pines Ranch was born. It's our goal to be as self sufficient as possible and learn as many new skills along the way as we can. Pacific Pines Ranch was built on the principles of repurpose, repair, and reuse, and that can be seen throughout the property and the container build. Our three story shipping container house consists of 7 containers, and we plan on learning the skills and trades to do almost all of the work ourselves. PRETTY AMBITIOUS, I KNOW. Our projects on the ranch range from home DIY, mechanic work, welding, woodworking, property development, foraging, fishing, adventures and anything revolving around building and tools. Follow along on our social media channels and *SUBSCRIBE* to join us on our projects and adventures on the ranch!

Just bought one and subscribed! Can’t wait. I go camping solo a lot and in the mountains of NC. I’ve driven from Idaho to SC, SC to Texas and will be driving from SC to Vegas next month. This will help me keep in touch with my family. Be careful ordering as I was having trouble on my IPad. If you go back a page it will kick out the one month. Glad I noticed it. Had to close page and start over thru your link.

I bought the mini two months ago and tested it out camping over the 4th of July weekend in a very austere location. I am very impressed wirh it's capability. I also use starlink at my remote home. Thank you starlink!

You guys crack me up!! Very excited for you. I live in SD and Ive told my single friends to sell thier homes and buy an ambulance. When people come home and see an ambulance they are NOT afraid. They wont rat you out to the cops. I Loved the video, Love each other, change the oil and enjoy the journey.

Any thoughts to creating a semi permanent enclosure/bay on the top of your vehicle and/or also running the Starlink Mini off of just the vehicle battery? Is natural light line of sight required(I.e. can you place it under a ceiling panel/covering)? Is mobile app connectivity required once the link is active? Does the app provide a usage dashboard? Aside from some face washouts and asking the star their opinion at the end of the piece, this was a very good video. Thanks.

I live in an urban area. It’s worth every second of every video to see the beautiful environment!

Great video! Does this have to be plugged in to work, or can you charge it up? I'm looking for a solution for driving around for hours in places with no service. If not, would an inverter for the Jeep work?

How many things can hook up to the starlink system before it really effects it?
Also if you’re streaming tv, movies will it drop from 5g to 4g after you use certain amount of data?
Thanks

thank you for this informative video, reminds me the small entenna in the eighties to have tv and radio. You still need that big block to power. You installed on your pc, is it available for Mac? Do you have sim cards in your phones and are you using apple or other phones? it seems a good idea for people like you away from the city.

Plug dc power cable directly in usb-c 100w PD port on your power station (assuming you have one) That way you do have to power up the inverter. Might need a 5521 barrel connector female to female adapter between the USB-c cable and the Starlink cable. Or just put a 100 watt usb-c adapter in the 12V port on your power station.

Ahhh that scenery. Reminds me when I was up in Washington driving from Tacoma down through Astoria to Canon Beach, OR. Didn't have enough time up there though to make it to Ruby Beach and Hoh Rainforest in Washington.

do you have to keep the plate on the roof at night? If things are charged will it be able to work?

A couple notes: Fed Gov gave Billions to Internet providers to connect the "last mile". I have a friend that lives 20 miles from the nearest Fiber point - his Power company installed both Power and Fiber, he now has Gig fiber at his 150 acre ranch in the middle of nowhere! A wired, Ethernet connection from whatever your internet connection is, is Always best. A Deco Mesh WIFI system would be perfect for your home - three units could cover all your buildings (metal and all) and should be plugged into whatever you use for internet access!

I think if you put it on top of the tall roof, you can really get a very good connection. Thanks for testing this, wonderful.

Will the generator keep a normal size fridge running in a electric shut down?

Why did you go with Mini? Not Standard cheaper hardware, better signal, and allows you put the router in your house. You can take and connect a WiFi router to your Mini and then have better signal in house as well.

On another note - I'm releaved to see that you guys are getting into STAIRS and away from depending exclusively on LADDERS...Remember - "GRAVITY SUCKS" and neither one of you look like you bounce well...BE CAREFUL and Thanks for the Videos. So green and beautiful out there. Thanks for the review. My friend is looking at this for internet for her RV. I recommended HomeFi, which is what I have. It's cheaper and reliable for me, but cool to see what's out there.
