As a rule of thumb, mixed metals usually looks best when done deliberately. For example staking necklaces or multi metal jewelry. When it’s done accidentally, such as having different kind of metal on your shoes or the hardware on your bag or belt and different jewelry, it looks a bit uncoordinated.
