You're my new favorite board game reviewer. Love your style.

The xmen base set gives you 1 vs 4 mode so one player is the villain! Be the villain for your kids!

I'm so addicted to Marvel United. Found this channel by pure accident. You sound like a movie action star rather than a board game review lol. 9:36 if you buy the X-Men Core Set you get 5 player mode (1 villain vs 4 heroes) and if you buy X-Men Team Blue or X-Men Team Gold you can extend the player count to 7 players (1 villain vs 2 heroe teams of 2 or 3 players, battle royale style)

And now I have an answer to “What if Guy Ritchie directed board game reviews?” 😂

Great video, man, thanks for making it!

I was hesitant to pick up this game since so many licensed property games are soulless cash grabs, but your review convinced me that this one is legit.

Again thanks, and congrats on your style! It’s really captivating. 👏

I was absolutely blindsided by this little game. I got the Amazon sets for super cheap and found out it was a really quick and simple way to pass the time. I probably would not have spent on all the KS content, but my local stores have the retail expansions so I’ll definitely try to get them to see how they work. Really seems that more than heroes, the game would benefit from more villains.
I have been enjoying the base and X-Men boxes for when I do not have enough time or energy for another Marvel Champions round.

"Why can't you play this during a Roman orgy" had me laughing for a whole minute! Great sense of humor on top of really great reviews!

I've always wondered what gaming with the Krays would be like

The X-Men core set does include an official way to play with 5 players. One player controls the villain against 4 heroes and there some new rules introduced. The X-men set also has 2 expansions that introduces team play (gold team & blue team) so you can play a 3 vs 3 game. Those two sets are not supposed to be kickstarter exclusives but no word on a retail release yet.

Kickstarter exclusives and stretch goals are a plague. Backers always want special crap, but any game project that will create meaningful extras solely available to those who happened to be around when they started ... fuck'em. Honestly, that's the stance I've taken, it saves me from wasting brain power on stuff that I shouldn't be wasting time on in the first place. Special, limited to backers only, pieces that upgrade existing pieces or whatever participation trophies -- but isn't creating/removing actual content -- fine, whatever, don't care. But projects that actually create content (or cut something out to make it exclusive to backers) ... that's just disgracefully criminal, disgusting and disrespectful.
That said ... yeah. I went to the BGG website recently, and they're dumping the Geek Market. At the rate they're going, they're going to make themselves completely obsolete in a couple years. If they're tired of running it, why don't they just sell it to someone who would like to run it? Slowly turning it into an orange turd is really disrespectful and seems unnecessarily spiteful to the number of people who have found value in it.

so nice to hear someone else moaning about ks exclusives... if u ask me the whole ks culture is bad for the industry and harmful when it comes to getting new people into the hobby... its just anti consumer great review Stay Hexy!

Thanks for the passionate review. I have seen this both at retail and on the used market and have been hesitant to buy it, due to the replayability of the core box. The price of the Kickstarter extras on the used market is equal to or greater than some other complete games. So will most likely pass on this until more content is available retail.

15 $ wow, i see a comment mentioning 9 $. We pay 45 to 56 euro (thats 46 to 57 $) here in Europe for english version. For the low price mentioned it would be an insta buy. But at 50 there are a lot of games on my to buylist that: i would like more, offer more content in base box, are rated higher etc.
