1. Dont book accommodation purely on price.
2. Not learning the local laws and rules to follow
3. Assuming English language will get you by everywhere
4. Dont pack too much in over short period of time
5. Try not to book everything in advance, limits the spontaneous element of travel
6. Research Local transportation cost
7. Haggling - know a standard price for everything so you dont get ripped off and you know what is realistic
8. Stay away from normal food, explore local food as cheaper
BONUS - Do not carry large amounts of money
9. Not calling your bank before leaving
10. Do not flash your electricals and especially phones
