Hockey community mourns Johnny Gaudreau, killed in New Jersey bike crash

A professional hockey player and his brother were struck and killed by a Jeep in New Jersey, less than 24 hours before their sister's wedding. CBS New York's Natalie Duddridge has the details from the newsroom.

This accident should call out for "Dedicated" bike lanes on all our roads. The issue with car drivers is they think they have greater right than a cyclist.

Sadly, with 24 hours notice and paid for deposits/people arriving from flights, it’s hard to picture they can afford to cancel the wedding. Imagine going to a wedding where both of the brides brothers died yesterday

Ask any police department how many tickets they issued on the last year for motorists not giving cyclists the 3 feet the law requires

People drive as close as they can to cyclists to terrorize them. People think they shouldn't be on the road when they have the right to use tge road. People are delayed seconds at most by slowing and going around a cyclist. The police not only refuse to ticket and arrest people who harass cyclists, they actually support and encourage these criminal acts.
