Germany's Scholz Halts Certification of Nord Stream 2 Pipeline

German Chancellor Olaf Scholz says he asked the Economy Ministry to withdraw a security of supply report needed for the certification process of the Nord Stream 2 pipeline to go into operation. Scholz spoke Tuesday at a briefing in Berlin. (English translation from source.)

Last I checked, no Russian gas had passed through Nord stream 2. The funding for the project was provided almost 90% by non Russian players. Putin outdid everyone here...

Mostly German investors paid for that pipeline, that means Germany just shot themselves in the foot. Unfortunately the Russians prepared for this ahead of time.
