Ricochet quick tutorial

In this quick tutorial, we are looking at Ricochet from Holy Fire Games. You can play this on a desktop computer on the Gazpo IO website.

Ricochet is a game where you start out with a bunch of blocks with numbers on them in the game area.

Your objective: Destroy the blocks with your balls.

When you begin, you have one ball but you can collect more of them as the game progresses.

You aim with the dotted line in the bottom center of the screen. You can drag this line left or right with the mouse pointer while holding down the left button. When you release the button, the balls are released in the direction of the line.

The white pulsating discs are explosive and when hit can blast away the surrounding blocks. The black circles with a white plus sign reward you with an extra ball. It pays to get these as soon as possible to help your cause.

The numbers on the blocks signify how many times they have to be hit before they are destroyed.

When all of your balls bounce back below your firing line, all of the blocks will drop down one row. You have to stop any blocks crossing the line at the bottom of the screen or its game over.

Its a good strategy to work on the edges of the block formations and make gaps to get in behind where the balls get high multiples of hits on the blocks per turn.

You’ll have to be good at estimating angles and knowing where the balls can do the most damage to achieve those higher scores.
