Toronto under Extreme Cold Warning

Показать описание
Canadian weather authorities issued an extreme cold warning for the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) on Tuesday.
Environment Canada said that overnight temperatures in the southeastern region of Ontario, including the Greater Toronto Area, would drop to under minus 20 degrees Celsius, with winds gusting to up to 70 km/h.
The warning comes just a day after a record-breaking snowfall blanketed the city, wreaking havoc all across the city.
Bad visibility and thick snow slowed down traffic in urban areas, and caused major delays and cancellation of several bus services.
The storm also forced the closure of a small number of universities and primary schools on Tuesday, and large scale flight cancellations at the Toronto Pearson International Airport on Monday night.
