My dear once you have the right connection in this country, that passport will come out ASAP. I was told the same story when I went to change my DOB. They told me 3 months, my passport was out in less than 3 weeks. Tho I paid a lot of money sha 😩

This Mrs thing is so strange to me still almost three years later.. I just changed my name this year bcs I needed to do stuff with the new name oo.. I and my hubs weren’t even interested. Like you said I’m inside the marriage.. I’m inside the marriage… Everything in Nigeria has to be a struggle.. I remember getting my passport at ikoyi.. That crowd is so familiar.. Never again!!! Hopefully another state doesn’t stress me like Lagos did 😩😩..

Bomsy I did mine too today in my bank. It doesn’t freak me too honestly but I just wanted everything to be uniform. It’s quite stressful doing the passport one honestly. Thank God it’s finally out. As in ehhhh instead of it to be blue passport it is yeye green passport 😂😂😂😂

Hmm it took almost 6 months?! That’s crazy. I agree with you. I really don’t care about changing my name. It doesn’t change the fact that I’m in the marriage… I’ll change it eventually but I’m not in a rush

I am yet to change after more than a decade. The inconvenience involved has discourage me from doing it. I have to change basically all my documents, drivers licence, bank details, passports the list is endless., for some of these documents the process could be long.

Kudos to you well done, maybe I should start somewhere, my husband is a bit irritated now, especially if he has to call me at work or at the airport whenever we are travelling. Thank God he understand and knows how difficult some of the process is. I will definitely start the process now.

I changed my name in my second year of marriage because I had to renew my passport to my husband’s name… I have done bank hassle, I still answer my previous name for every other thing.

Hmmm your case is different, hubby said he wasn't sending me money if my bank detail is still on my maiden name, said he wanted to send money to his wife not someone's child. My sister, I had to run and change abeg 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
