Copper is the preferred wire for your home over aluminum because of its ease of use and ability to effectively conduct electricity. It is more stable, durable, and performs better than aluminum wires. Copper is known to have better Conductivity than Aluminium.

after watching the entire video i just now realised that is it for 8th grade.. but I am in 10th grade 🤦🤦🤦🤦🤦

17:25 ANS silver is better conductor of electricity but being expensive, is not used in making cable

Because aluminium is expensive than copper (7:35)

🔴Aluminum is cheaper than copper and also it is light weight so they can use in outdoor.
*We use copper in the house wiring because copper conduct electricity better than aluminium. Due to which power is saved so that money is also saved.*
*copper has less resistance than aluminium*

🔴 *Silver is too costly so it cannot be used as wire.*

Sunil sir literally stood and thought us continuously for 1 hour and 24 minutes, respect to sir

We don't use silver wires at home beacuse it is very expensive metal but a really good conductors and the second reason is due to its reactivity

Metals are generally good conductors of electricity. The conductivity of a metal is the ability to allow electricity to pass through it. Since aluminium is a metal with low resistance and good conductivity it is used in electrical wires.

I have one more trick of reactivity series
potassium - please
sodium - stop
calcium - calling
magnesium - me
aluminum - a
carbon - cute
zinc - zombie
iron - instead
tin - try
lead - learning
hydrogen - how
copper - copper
silver saves
gold - gold
platinum - platinum
helium - helium

I am in class 10th and still watching Sunil Sir's Chemistry lectures because, literally i realised that there is no teacher like Sunil sir,
Sir If u would teach class 10th, students can learn chemistry like a magic .
BTW thank u so much Sunil sir.❤️❤️

heating effect of electric current is seen more in copper than aluminum so copper is used in case of low voltages also because it has low melting point.

You way of teaching is awesome.
Thank You Sunil Sir.

Copper is a good conductor of heat but we use aluminium at transmission lines
The main reason is cost

dilipkumarrai

Sir, aluminium has a significantly higher specific electrical resistivity than copper. This difference is highly relevant for power cables.Aluminium conductor requires 56% larger cross-sectional area than copper for same current carrying capability.
