@MKBoyardee The Z does have a genuine sports car feel, however when it comes to reality, the EVO comes stock with oil cooler, tranny cooler, functional wheel and brake air ducts, relocated battery and washer, AWControl and the list goes on, it was truly meant for the track out of the box.

I like the Z; don't get me wrong. I think its a great looking car, I just think the EVO has more potential for a "Sports car"

@KoukiMS6 Did I ever mention anything about the Z's comfort? No one WANTS the bare minimum in comfort, that's just what you have to live with when you buy an Evo. Practicality pertains more to convenience than it does to comfort. I don't see what point you're trying to prove.

Nice video. Definetly not filmed in Mexico, but very entertaining regardless.

I think the 370z looks a lot better than the g37 coupe... But you are right, in my area you see WAY more g37's than 370's also. I like the Z though, interested in seeing what Nissan does with it next. Id like to see Nissan be a little more competitive with the pricing of the Z too...

those power gains sound about right for bolt ons. If you want to make the car a monster you'll have to put in a single or twin turbo. then you'll be making 500-600hp but the kit for this car costs you about $8k for single and $10-12 for twin. But even without the turbos the V6 on the 370z will sound nice and won't have to work as hard as the 4cyl to go fast, and that should make the car last longer. It also looks like a straight up sports car. I like evos but they look like mean family sedans

I've added K&N drop ins, long tube headers, 2.5" exhaust straight pipes to the stock muffler and an uprev tune. I shouldn't give it away but I made on average ~330whp +/- 5whp and ~260tq. Not only did I get more power but I got a much fatter torque curve. I recently ran my friends e92 m3 7AT and we were tied on 3 runs. Now my best buddy got a 2004 STi. So yeah based on my #'s headers, exhaust and tune and the Z will fly. S/C is next, waiting 4 tuners to crack VVEL.

my mistake. i missed that you said exhaust too. that makes more sense because a turbo back opens up quite a bit of hp on those evos.

Me too Nissan was always about affordable sports cars, I'd like to see some inexpensive sports cars coming out. The 370z is pretty reasonable considering its competing against more expensive Porsches and BMW Z4s but still $40, 000 is a lot for the average guy. There are talks of a new two seater Z car coming out in a couple years based off the 240z. They're playing around with numbers like 350hp for just under $35, 000 for the base model. That should be good, i'm looking forward

The Evo's are some of the truest sports cars out there, regardless of the number of doors it has.

I don't understand your comment. General consensus says 2 extra cylinders is better than 2 less cylinders + turbo. Quote the term "no replacement for displacement". So what you are saying is 4cyl turbo > than 6cyl. If so, I completely agree. With mods, Z doesn't stand a chance with equal mods. Do you know how exponentially more mods increase performance over NA? Have you tried to mod a turbo car vs NA motor? It's ridiculous how much more power you get from a turbo.

I like the Z more just cause I like the quality of the Nissan more then of Mitsubishi. I have a 280Z, and plan to get a 370Z once I get the money. It isn't wise to compare these two cars from this video because they are both great, but drivers are different.

@Croozerification Lets talk about quality then; Known fact the 370z can't even go around the track on a hot day without overheating oil, there is the fuel starvation issue, there is the fact that NISSAN won't let the tuners play with the cam timing system, Car and driver crashed the first nissmo because the brakes gave out, first ever on any car. Road n track kept having the car go into limp mode to save itself from overheating.

I agree, I am an Evo X owner and you can't beat a good light weight rear wheel drive car. I'm learning the hard way.... my car is Fu**in heavy!!! The one good thing I suppose is its a great platform to run an FP Black. I don't need to worry about traction.
