Medieval Pouch Contents

Today I take you on a quick rummage through my pouch and show you the types of things I always carry to an event. Sometimes I'll have more, but rarely less, than what you see here.

Pardon the dust, the sun started to set and catch it just-so. I moved up to the dining room to get better light, and it was a double edged sword.

I like the idea of carrying authentic coinage and it's a detail I aspire to. Also band aids sound good. Usually present in my pouch is a little lunch money, phone, cards, veil pins, hair pins and mirror, sometimes painkillers, asthma puffer, sanitary items, lip balm. The pouch is only so big!

For my pouch, I keep two forms of card payment, two forms of ID, insurance cards (I am a fencer and guard at festivals and have needed it before after injury), an Opinel knife, a horn spoon, pen and pad, $20 cash, and allergy relief eye drops. I have a second paupers purse I carry that holds festival coinage, a handkerchief, and my family's ring when I need to take it off to fence.
A character I have considered before was literally a support character for festival days that just had about 4-6 pouches on their person at all times with varying implements in them for anyone should they need anything.

Medieval scissors and comb for dealing with my hair and beard on campaign, and my phone.

@BootsByBohemond, it's your 15th Century Pouch! I have a similar one from a St. Martin's Day tournament. That back pocket really is the perfect size for a phone.

I wear two one small for phone keys and money and lighter. And one large for a small fire kit .comb. a wee knife. Hemp string.And a bee's wax candle.plus a small sunstone.
And on a small belt under my main tunic I carry a money bag with some Viking coins and bits of silver wire.
Every thing else goes into my wicker backpack.

What does it keep in it's pockets? I keep the same really, as well as pain killers and anithistamines as well just in case.
