Looks a good idea. I would be tempted to put a second league in and include some big teams from around the world like Boca and even the Saudi clubs, could do a relegation play-off as well. Also think Newcastle and Tottenham probably should have been included but get the league size would have become enormous unless you could copy the champions league rules so there wouldn't be 50 games.

I do like the playoffs system as an NFL and NHL fan but I think your reasoning for it is flawed, it definitely creates drama but it doesn't reward consistency. A team can consistently perform well all season and lost by a goal or even on pens in the playoffs to a team that finished 30 points off them. In a perfect world with no injuries it's a great system, but it's too easy for injuries to key players to mess a team up in a way that they could recover from over a full season.

Be good to see you do this as Ajax (I'd prefer Rangers but I know you can't 😂). A few seasons in that with the money you'd get and their yoof would make a mighty team

If you did two leagues, could you do it like the NFL where you have the AFC and NFC. Then they have playoffs to find the two best teams in each league and then have a Final between those two teams??
