Today, Thatcham Research alongside Euro NCAP have created the world’s first Assisted Driving gradings to give motorists the crucial insight they need to understand how to use today’s assisted driving technology safely.

Many new vehicles feature assisted driving systems that have been developed to support the driver. However, there is significant potential for carmakers to overstate the capability of their current assisted driving technology and for motorists to misuse it.

In this video, we discuss the ratings along with the capabilities and limitations of Assisted Driving technologies.

We test out the latest Mercedes GLE, BMW 3-Series, Tesla Model 3, Volvo V60, Ford Kuga and Renault Clio.

The results seem of low quality checks. The VW PAssat has a total of 216 point and the Tesla Model 3 222. Model 3 should therefore be ranked higher, 5th place.

What a load of bs. The steering resistance is not high and shows the driver that the car knows what it’s doing. Taking over is not a problem and as you can see on the screen even actively encouraged by the car

What a dumb test. They made up a metric to downgrade Tesla, which is the most advanced. I've been driving Teslas for years MS, M3 and you can tap the brake to disengage AP or just apply pressure. These guys must be sponsored by European car makes.
