The Philippine Air Force has formally received two more T129 Atak helicopters. The two aircraft will be used alongside the PAF’s armed light observation and transport helicopters, enhancing the force's combat operational capability and addressing capability gaps in urban warfare.
The units are the fifth and sixth attack helicopters acquired in a 280-million-dollar deal between Turkey and the Philippines. Its sister aircraft were the first helicopters Ankara delivered to a foreign country.
The T129 ATAK fleet deal is part of the Horizon 2 phase of the Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Modernization Program, a 300 billion Philippine peso or 5.2 billion dollar acquisition project to update the country’s military posture.

The more sophisticated hi tech long range UAV drones can now be replaced the job of helicopters in attack & surveillance more efficiently at a low operational cost & also difficult to detect easily by anti aircraft missiles as well as zero pilot casualty as Japan finds it in their latest study

No doubt the T-129 Attack Helicopter is a fine piece of weaponry. In low-intensity conflicts they can be "very valuable" to the side using them.
However in full scale wars, unless one has "Air Superiority, " these attack helicopters will most likely perform below expectations coz of their very high vulnerability to SAM's(Surface to Air Missiles), Mobile Short Range Air Defense Systems, Manpads, etc.
