I think this book is the most comprehensive and easy to follow guide if you’re new to this journey and want to self initiate on the path of Magick. High Magick has everything you need to get started and it’s not even 200 pages long. Damien Echols, part of the West Memphis 3, was wrongly convicted for killing 3 children, and spent 18 years on death row. He was treated like a monster for something he didn’t do. But instead of becoming the monster that the state of Arkansas was so fervently making him out to be, Damien obsessively practiced magick, and after 18 years of practice and repetitiously reading the few esoteric books he could get his hands on, Damien developed into who I would genuinely consider one of the great spiritual masters of our age.
