(Yes, I know lyrics are wrong, there's nothing I can do, sorry).

This is a version I made from the song "Anyone who knows what love is (will understand).
It's from Black Mirror, a television drama series created by Charlie Brooker.
This is the episode "15 Million Merits" and it's the part where Abi (played by Jessica Brown-Findlay (beautiful!)) sings in the show.
That was the first time I've ever heard that song and I really liked it, so I decided to make a long version of the song and with an end.
The song is a cover from Irma Thomas original song... I like more Abi's version =)
I DON'T OWN THE RIGHTS OF THE SONG OR THE VIDEO.
Enjoy!

I tried to binge watched black mirror but the content is too dense that after 2 episodes back to back I have to meditate and contemplate about my existence here on earth.

The worst torture for a guy in love. The scene on the room with Bing trying to scape from the publicity of Abi is really sad and heartbreaker. I think this is by far the best episode in BM.

This episode traumatized me. It was so relevant and necessary but I couldn't even bring myself to keep watching the show.

The people running the show knew that Abi’s innocence will convert people into believing in something like love and human connection instead of fame and fortune. For example, she gave Bing hope of something real, something better than what he had at the moment. If she becomes famous, her song could influence some people to rebel against the system that oppresses them. That’s why her innocence was decidedly taken away. It seems like Abi was given a choice, but she really didn’t have one. Plus, she was made into an example of what the system would do to purity and virtue. It breaks them.

The audience in this scene is literally concerts of the future as we’re all now in indefinite quarantine

She has such a great voice I was so disappointed when the judges were like "WANNA BE A PORNSTAR?"

In a parallel universe our civilization is the most depressing episode of their Black Mirror.

She sang so beautifully and powerfully, and yet all the audience and judges saw was an object to pleasure themselves with.

I literally need to take a break like a few days before watching another episode in this series because my weak human brain can not process this intensity all in once

Abi has one of the most tragic stories in Black Mirror. Finally convinced to chase after her dream as a singer, she drinks a compliance drug and is basically forced to be a sex slave for the rest of her life instead. I feel so bad for her.

Honestly, Black Mirror is a series on Netflix that never really make sense to me. Each episode is remotely different but each episode is filled with so much, it’s absolutely amazing. Each episode hits you in a place you didn’t know could be hit. I think this series hits us because it’s the truth. It’s our life and it will be our life in the future. We just don’t see it as extreme as this.

I think the reason this song is used so much in Black Mirror is because it's likening our obsession/love with technology to an abusive relationship. We know that it can be really bad for us and maybe we should "break up", but we're in love with it and can't do without it, so we "stay together". Anyone who knows what love is will understand.

Anyone else find this song more horrifying than beautiful because of the connections in Black Mirror? Particularly this and Crocodile.

This episode was really depressing, the judges ruined quite possibly the only beautiful thing they will ever have.

I love the social commentary on this show, and how the horror in it is psychological instead of gory. We need more media like this. Also, I LOVE this song.
