Considering Bitterblue was written in 2012, it is startlingly relevant to today. As it is about the aftermath of a leader who filled the world with lies. And how to heal a country afterwards. So much of this book captures the exact struggles of the US right now. I also appreciate the question Cashore raises regarding, "Is it better to erase a painful past or bring it to light?" I think this is also something the US is grappling with (Project 1619 and those who want to ban it from curriculums).

Omg so happy you finally read Pachinko, it's one of my absolute favs as well and I FEEL you trying to express your love for this book, because it's incredibly hard to describe a book that feels like something much bigger than just a book to you. I am almost reluctant to recommend this to someone because these characters feel like my friends and my family and I want to protect them. Lol, but seriously, I'd love an in-depth video on this book, including spoilers and all, because therapy. Never cried so hard reading a book I think.

I read a bunch of Shadowhunter books this month, currently reading them all for the first time. Clockwork Prince had been my favourite so far!😭

I'm currently reading Clockwork Princess. February is definitely going to be a Shadowhunter filled month. And I have now put the Graceling books on my never ending TBR 😂😂😂

I’m reading a sky beyond the storm and listening to morning star so it’s just epic final books in two different series. I’m having a great time

Oh pachinko forever a favorite because of just how important the story it tells is and how much you care for the family and all they go through and learned a lot about the political situation as well.

I also loved Pachinko. I am halfway through The Island of Sea Women. This is a HF following another strong set of women. Set in the 1940's off a small island that is part of South Korea. It is so interesting to compare the lives of the people in Pachinko compared to some of the individuals who stayed in Korea. So far I highly suggest it and it has a super high good reads rating.
much love,

I started The Way of Kings this month and I’m really excited about getting into a huge, epic, high fantasy series. I’ve already read Skyward and Starsight, and Sanderson’s writing is just super easy for me to fly though and enjoy.

I surprised myself for the first time ever! I can’t believe I read 18 books in 1 month for me that’s a lot 😀😀 also would like to thank you because watching your videos really helped me get motivated ( I have some books coming in the mail based on your recommendations) 🙃👍🏻 so excited to get them and start reading them

This is the best reading month that I've ever had. I finished 30 books out of my goal of 35. I'll definitely be slowing down on reading because school has started back up, but the minute I get that BA I'll be back to reading.

Fire was my favorite! I didn't realize she came out with another in the series, so excited! Also, Midnight Library sounds really interesting, I'll have to pick it up!
